GST 2.0 comes into effect: Royal Enfield Hunter, Bullet, and Classic now cost less than Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max

Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max Price can buy you a Royal Enfield 350cc bike. Ever since the Government of India has announced GST rate cutes, the prices of the Royal Enfield motorcycle have come down significantly. The GST slab changes will come into effect on 22 September 2025. Moreover the new slabs under GST now include only two slabs 5 and 18 percent. With this normalisation of GST rates the prices of the Royal Enfield 350cc motorcycles are now lower than the top-end 2TB variant of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max comes in four storage variants which includes the 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. Similarly comparing these prices to the Royal Enfield 350 CC motorcycles which are Bullet 350, Classic 350 and Hunter 350. These bikes start from Rs 1,37,000 and go upto Rs 2,15,000 (Ex-showroom). Therefore individuals should definitely ponder upon which can be a more value for money purchase.

Although buyers will need to pay certain other charges like the road tax, registration fee and insurance premium over the ex-showroom price, they can still get any of the three motorcycles for an on-the-road (OTR) price of less than Rs 2,29,900, barring some of the top-spec variants of the Bullet 350 and the Classic 350.


Price Change of Motorcycles under New GST slabs?



Under the GST 2.0 regime, motorcycles with an engine capacity of up to 350cc are in the 18% slab. They were in the 28% bracket during the GST 1.0 regime. Due to lower GST, the ex-showroom price of such motorcycles has decreased.

For reference, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and Royal Enfield Classic 350 employ the same J-Series, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-oil cooled engine, which develops 20.2bhp and 27Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
